Upper Canada Village

Update April 25th, 2017

I visited Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, Ontario on several occasions during 2013 and 2014.  Being a big history fan I was fascinated by the architecture, the dress and period items displayed.  I took several hundred images during my visits and wanted to do something special with them.  Recently I came across an image which was similar in nature to those I had taken.  The artist had converted the image into a water colour painting and I thought, what a great idea!  Instead of water colour I have used a staged process to convert the image into an oil painting.  Several of my favourite images are displayed below.

Mer Bleue

Update May 5th, 2017

Mer Bleue is a nature preserve on the western outskirts of Ottawa,Canada.  The walking area is covered by one kilometre of boardwalk overtop of a large Bog and small lake.  To the west of the Bog are more trails which lead off into the woods.  I found Mer Blue will stationed in Ottawa and quickly became fascinated with the different plant life that grows there.  The images below are a selection of images taken over a two year period and over both spring, summer and winter seasons.

Painted Flowers

Updated 30 May 2017

I love the beauty of nature, and within nature flowers are amongst the most beautiful of creations.  This is a multi-stage process converting each of these images I took into an oil painting.
